International Yoga Day

Yoga helps us to bring the inner peace out of the soul and mind of the person. Practicing yoga is a workout that gives a lot of output in the form of peace to the body and soul.

The world is celebrating the International Yoga Day.Theme for International yoga Day 2021 is “Yoga for well-being”. In order to promote and motivate people to practice yoga in their daily lives International Yoga day is celebrated and this year its main focus is towards boosting immunity and wellbeing of people to resist coronavirus which is much relevant to the present conditions when the world is fighting and recovering from the impact of Coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Yoga helps the body to rejuvenate and heal itself from many diseases and problems. It also helps the mind and soul to be in peace and it helps people to know their limitations and helps them to practice more devotion wholeheartedly, which in turn starts nourishing each & every cell, tissue, and even the smallest particle of the body which helps the body to recover naturally.

Yoga – A ray of hope amid Covid 

Covid-19 not only hurt the physical wellbeing but also worsen psychological and mental health by causing anxiety and depression due to pandemic-triggered economic, emotional, and restrictions in countries. To fight against the Coronavirus one need to maintain health and boost immunity; Yoga acts as a natural immunity booster during the pandemic and helping people to boost immunity and also helping them to maintain their social and mental health. It relaxes the body, soul and mind.

RWA (Resident Welfare Association) of Vasant Kunj comes up with several programs and residents of Vasant Kunj participated in full energy. Everything is going online these days. Citizen Forum of Vasant Kunj celebrated Yoga day at zoom platform which shows that no barriers can stop us from being healthy and imparting knowledge to others.

RWA & Residents of Sector-C, block-8 celebrates yoga day by gathered at the park and performed yoga asanas with Mr. Inderjeet Sehrawat. RWA Of Sector-D, pocket-7 also held a free yoga day camp for their residents where MLA Naresh Yadav (Advocate) encouraged residents for improving health and boosting immunity by performing Yoga.

RWA of Sector-B, pocket- 5 & 6 Vasant Kunj came up with the great initiative, along with the yoga day camp, they distributed medicinal plants and dry ration to their workers which are helpful to boost up the health and help them during this period of the pandemic. All such initiatives are most welcomed and encouraged by society and it motivates others to come up with other new ideas for helping people and themselves.

Yoga is being practiced in India from a shadowy period and has countless benefits. Yoga is not a religion or anything which only helps a particular age, region or religion. Practicing Yoga benefits all age groups of people be it youngers, elders or old age group.
