Due to an increase in the number of active corona cases, our Indian government has announced that all Indian citizens over the age of 18 will be able to receive the Covid-19 vaccine in India beginning May 1, 2021. The following vaccination drive will be digitised starting from the registration process to getting vaccinated because there is the possibility of high demands for vaccines and booking an appointment in advance seems a much better approach than walking in and wait for hours in a congested line.

The process will be conducted online, without the use of a mobile app, and registration will necessitate the availability of scanned ID proof. Registration address: www.cowin.gov.in’.

A note to CGHS Beneficiaries & Pensioners:

The government of India is attempting to limit the impact of COVID – 19 by implementing measures at both the community and individual levels. CGHS beneficiaries have been advised to download the ‘AarogyaSetu’ app to upload their health status on the application after a self-assessment.

If CGHS beneficiaries exhibit any symptoms of COVID during the assessment, they should contact a Government Hospital/Center/Medical Officer of CGHS/Private Empanelled Hospital. The symptomatic person is advised to undergo an rt PCR test for COVID – 19 in accordance with ICMR protocols, which can be obtained from the Government CGHS.To schedule RT PCR test at home, call Lal Path Lab at 011-39885050.

The empanelled centre will administer the test on a cashless basis for pensioners, etc., and the bill will be submitted to CGHS via UTI – ITSL. In the case of serving employees and beneficiaries of Autonomous Bodies, the concerned Governmental Department or Organization will reimburse the cost of the test at an approved rate.

Delhi Weekend Curfew Extension:

Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in the capital city, the Kejriwal-led Delhi government is reportedly extending the weekend lockdown to weekdays.

An essential step taken by the Delhi government because in every corner of Delhi there are plenty of active cases, including the Vasant Kunj vicinity. Every sector of Vasant Kunj currently has numerous active corona cases. Thus, during the advent scenario, there are some protocols that must be maintained by the residents of Vasant Kunj for the following extended weekday curfew.

Curfew Protocols and Exemption List:

First and foremost wearing a mask and sanitizing oneself is an absolute. Even after taking proper medications and home remedies or being vaccinated, one must wear a mask and maintain social distancing all the time when they are outside in public spaces.

Residents must take on the responsibility of doing household chores on their own for a week because a curfew means no maids or drivers will be able to come to work.

  1. Public spaces are to remain close, especially the malls, parks and restaurants in Vasant Kunj. Food is to be only delivered as indoor dining is not allowed. Essentials facilities such as groceries, dairies, fruits, vegetables, bakeries and other confectionaries shall remain open but with a minimum number of staffs.
  2. Work from home for all private offices, which means that no offices will be permitted to open in Vasant Kunj. Health workers, media professionals or people working in banks or the telecom and internet sector are exempted from the stay at the home list.
  3. Patients seeking medical attention, going for COVID-19 vaccinations or travellers travelling from stations and airports are also permitted to leave the houses.
  4. CM Kejriwal also stated that wedding ceremonies with a capacity of 50 people will be permitted, with special E – passes issued for the occasion.
  5. Public transport will be operational with 50% seating, Delhi Police are asked to impose challan if residents are seen to be out on the road with their own means of transportations.
