Purpose of the contest:
The plastic-free July campaign was started in 2011. It has now become one of the most influential environmental campaigns in the world. The campaign promotes and challenges people to reduce waste as much as possible. People are becoming part of the campaign by making solutions to plastic pollution and choosing not to use single-use plastic in your daily life to keep the streets, rivers, oceans, and their communities free of waste and beautiful. The movement has inspired approximately 177 countries all over the world. Are you ready to be a part of the challenge? The VK Info is organizing the contest with the purpose to encourage more and more people and children toward recycling and upcycling the waste and discarded materials at home rather than using them once and throwing them. It also helps in reducing waste and landfills. If we can encourage and make our youth understand the harmful effects of generating waste it will be helpful in the reduction of waste from our planet. The VK Info is organizing an online competition to make something innovative from waste materials at your home.
So come forward with your innovative ideas and showcase your creativity out of waste materials and help the planet to rejuvenate again.
You can use old and discarded materials easily available at your homes such as Plastic, Cardboard, and Cloth, Paper, or any other kind of discarded material at your place and transform them into something reusable and sustainable. The product made out of waste should have some self-life, it should be in a way that it is not to throw as soon as showcased. For further details and rules please read carefully.

Rules:
- Interested residents can register at the site of The VK Info from 15th July 2021.
- Participants of any age group are allowed to send their entries in the form of short videos with a time limit of up to two minutes. It is necessary for participants to show the initial stage of the project and then the final product.
- The sorted videos will be updated at the site of The VK Info for voting by the residents. The videos which will get maximum votes will be declared as winners.
- You are requested to use only old and discarded materials.
- Do not showcase any readymade product.
- Only residents of Vasant Kunj are eligible for participation in the contest.
Appreciation for contestants
- All the registered participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
- The winner will be interviewed and will be showcased on The VK Info site & Social Media Platform.
